After-hours block terms
Terms for fixed-price, 12-month readiness commitments for scheduled and emergent after-hours TAK support, each with up to 20 hours of work.
- What a block is
- A fixed-price, 12-month readiness commitment for one TAK Managed Service: Bravo Forward’s commitment to respond outside covered hours for the term of the block, for up to 20 hours of work. Blocks are sold only to customers with an active TAK Managed Service. Scheduled blocks (TAK-OPS-300) and emergent blocks (TAK-OPS-400) are priced as listed on the Purchase page.
- Payment
- Card and bank transfer orders are paid in full when placed. For invoice orders, the full price is invoiced when Bravo Forward confirms the block and is due on receipt, unless your contract or order sets other payment terms. A block is confirmed by email once Bravo Forward receives a completed payment or a purchase order for the full block amount.
- Term
- A block is a 12-month readiness commitment. It starts on the date Bravo Forward confirms the block. It ends 12 months later, or when 20 hours of work have been used, or when your managed service ends, whichever comes first. During the term Bravo Forward stands ready to respond outside covered hours when a named contact activates the block. The 20 hours are the work capacity included in that commitment. The price pays for the commitment, so capacity left unused at the end of the term does not carry over. Bravo Forward sends a reminder 60 days before the term ends.
- After hours
- Any time outside the covered hours in your Service Order or statement of work, including federal holidays.
- Who can request hours
- Only the contacts named in your Service Plan or, until it is approved, in your order or in writing by your contracting representative. Hours are drawn only when one of them asks for after-hours work.
- Scheduled requests
- Submitted through your service intake channel at least five calendar days before the work. Bravo Forward confirms the time window in writing.
- Emergent requests
- Made by calling the emergency activation number Bravo Forward gives you when it confirms the block, with less than five calendar days’ notice, up to the same day. Bravo Forward acknowledges within one hour. Acknowledged means Bravo Forward has spoken with you, told you whether it can staff the request and, if it can, when work will start; it does not mean work has begun. If Bravo Forward cannot staff the request, it says so within that hour and no hours are drawn. Emergent hours can also be used for scheduled work.
- Weekly limit
- Up to 8 hours of block work in any calendar week (Monday to Sunday, in the time zone of your Service Order), across all blocks on one managed service. Work beyond 8 hours in a week is by request and subject to staff availability, and starts only once Bravo Forward confirms it in writing. It draws on the block the same way.
- How hours are counted
- From when work starts, in half-hour increments. The minimum is one hour per scheduled request and two hours per emergent request, or the remaining balance if less. Standby through a planned event counts the same as work.
- Never charged
- Restoring your managed TAK service after an outage, fixing a fault Bravo Forward caused, and work Bravo Forward chooses to continue past covered hours. These are part of the managed service and never draw on a block.
- Balance and overage
- Hours used and remaining appear in your Monthly Service Report. Bravo Forward tells you when a block falls below five hours, and says so before starting if a request needs more hours than remain. Work beyond the balance, and after-hours work without an active block, is handled best effort. There are no overage charges.
- Location and scope
- All work is performed remotely. Hours apply to managed-service tasks (server operations, users and groups, mission packages, federation, and user support) and to standby through a planned event. On-site support, training, development, new integrations, and extended engagements are not part of a block and are quoted separately.
- Refunds
- The price pays for the readiness commitment, so it is not refunded because hours go unused. If Bravo Forward ends your managed service early for any reason other than your breach, Bravo Forward refunds the unused share: the remaining term or the remaining hours, whichever is smaller. If your contract or order provides for termination for convenience, its settlement terms apply instead.
- Your Service Order applies
- Blocks are sold only to TAK Managed Service customers. The warranty, limitation of liability, governing law and dispute terms of your Service Order or contract apply to block work. A card order from a buyer without an active TAK Managed Service is refunded in full.
- Taxes
- Prices exclude applicable taxes.
- Which terms apply
- These terms apply to every after-hours block order. If your signed contract, Service Order or purchase order sets a term specifically for the block, that term governs for that order. Preprinted or standard purchase-order terms do not change these terms unless Bravo Forward agrees in writing. Bravo Forward may update these terms; an order is governed by the version in effect on the date it was placed.
